CB antenna install
After much research, I couldn't find a good place to install my cb antenna that looked stock. I then found a place that I could install my antenna and keep a stock look and get good performance. I installed it in the upper driver side fender bolt location under the black plastic hood cowling. I first removed the windshield wipers, then the screws holding the cowling, and the cowling. Then after removing the bolt, I drilled out the hole with a 1/2" bit, the size required for the antenna. This location allows for some adjustment of the fender to door lines, so be sure the fender is in the proper location before drilling. Then I cleaned the burs of off the botoom of the hole with a file. I reinstalled the cowl to locate the hole for the antenna, marked it and drilled it out with a 5/8" bit. Installed the cowl and wipers, then the antenna and cable. Be sure to check continuity of the antenna after installation.
