About to tow long distance

Hey guy's just wanted to check with ya'll before I get on the road for my treck to South Florida for Thanksgiving. The drive should be about 800-1000mi. I have a brand new 2004 (2000k now 2500-3000 miles by the time I leave) 3500, 4x4, dually, jake brake, with 4.10's and a 6speed. What do I need to do before I leave? Should I change the oil yet? Also how safe is it to really go 7500mi between oil changes? Dose this thing have some sort of BETTER filtration system? I have never let a vehicle go that long between oil changes! I will be towing a 25ft fattbed with a Massey Ferguson 243 with a back hoe attachment. If I was a bettin man I would guess that both the tractor and trailer weight should be below 12k? I will probably run about 200 mi the frist evening and then the rest from there. Thanks in advance!
Happy Thanksgiving!
