Mobil 1 in our diesels

Mobil says their mobil 1 oil can be used with Diesel engines.

When I inquire about this with all the 'diesel' experts, I get replies back about soot control.

What if I use a bypass filter that gets the soot out of the oil? Will it then be acceptable to use regular Mobil 1 oil???

Seems logical to me....
