are the new 6.7's supposed to smoke?

Thing runs awesome, mpg is about 16 (just turned 2K on the ticker) but i notice when i am at a dead stop and hit the throttle, it will burp out some smoke, blackish grey. It is very sporatically, usually does NOT do it after the truck has been running for over an hour but have seen it do it then also. When i notice it does smoke, if i just stab the throttle and go through all the gears, it lets a grey haze all the way through.

Is this supposed to happen or not?
