Regen?

Sorry guys, maybe I missed something here. I have tried to find out what indication people are looking at to tell if your truck is in "Regen" mode. Some say the over head, some say the check engine light. I have had 1 check engine light indication in 7,000 mile and 1 time where the overhead said "Cat 80% full". I do not have a monitor or programmer or even gauges, it has never been to the dealer and the first oil change was at 4,200 miles?? I sort of feel left out because I have nothing to complain about on my truck. It gets a consistent 15 MPG on my daily commute and pulls my 5er just fine the way it was purchased. Honestly I am not worried about when and how many times it goes into Regen, just curious about the monitoring capabilities of the unit. This is the greatest piece of machinery that I have ever owned and I don't even complain about the payments. I kind of feel left out, by the way most are talking about their 6.7's.
