Cold Air 6.7 check engine ever 2500 miles

I have a 07 cab chasse auto w/ AFE cold air kit on it from day one. every 2500 mls. check engine light comes on. Dealer says it's map air sensor the hole in the tube is to large and is letting to much air in causing the error code. My power is good i have pulled over 20k with after the first 500 miles it through the WVa mountains never a regen or a hick up current 8500 all towing heavy loads . Fuel mileage seems to be in the rise and good power.
Also have 98 24Valve 2500 and a 06 mega cab with the same kits not one problem.
I finally convinced the dealer to replace the sensor and reprogram the truck yesterday. their response was ok if that doesn't cure it take it to a after market diesel repair shop and have them work on it. Whos is going to pay the bill? What about warranty?
