Took Delivery New 2008..........merry Christmas

Got phone call from Dealer Friday, 12/21/07 and picked up my new truck late that evening. Everything I ordered (except for the 40/20/40 seats) was perfect. As we have discussed here on the forum for months, you can not get a 4X2 dually with 40/20/40 seats even though you can order it that way and all the literature, including the owners manual, shows the 40/20/40. Well let me tell you guys, after the dealer placed the order, he received a phone call from the plant in Mexico that he could NOT order 40/20/40 seats on a 4X2 even though the computer at the dealership allowed this. Anyway, to make a long story short, I have a beautiful new 2008 3500 Dually 4X2 with BUCKET seats. The audacity of Chrysler/Dodge is that they wanted to CHARGE me $490.00 for the bucket seats. In other words, I am FORCED to take a seat I do not want and on top of that, pay extra for it. Thank goodness I have a good dealer and was not charged anything for the bucket seats. Hopefully the new management of Dodge will get this kind of mickey mouse crap corrected. The truck looks beautiful and will hopefully be as good as my other three. Happy new Year to all of you.
