gauge light

Hi guys. Installed boost gauge today. Looked for power for the lamp at the headlamp switch, found no power at all at headlamp switch. Suspect that this is a ground activated system? Where do I find switched power for parking light circuit or head lamps to illuminate the gauge? Thanks pagema
