Weak Overhead Lighting??????

My message center overhead that usually so far has only shown compass and temp has such a weak lighting, I can not read it without leaning over so my head is close and to the center. My other three Dodge trucks have had this well lighted like the dash lights. I have tried the dimmer in all positions and the console light is weak even when headlights are off. Anyone else had this problem. 2008 3500 Quad cab long bed....
