Larger Tires

I have an 07, 6.7 3500. I have heard that a larger diameter tire will increase overall speed and decrease engine RPM. It will also decrease your hole-shot speed, but will increase top-end speed. I have also heard that installing too large of a tire however, can stress a number of the components (e.g. engine, transmission, axles, etc.) because of the additional rolling mass, and the decreased RPM of the tire, and can overheat the engine because it has to work that much harder to turn a larger, heavier tire. Any thoughts on this? I want to go to 30" Rockstars.
