amsoil bypass filter

Wondering if anyone has contemplated installing an Amsoil Bypass filter on the 6.7 Cummins. My work partner Bob just got back from a long tow and is concerned about the condition of his oil

(black& dirty). Bob did say his truck performed flawlessly the entire trip - other than fuel mileage. Was most impressed with action of e brake and 6 speed auto

. So give us some feedback about bypass systems for 6.7 engine.
