EGT Gauge Question

I did a gauge install this weekend. All seems fine so far. I'm still short a boost bolt and havn't determined what route to go for the tranny sensor. I did have a rough time tapping for the EGT probe (my back and body ain't what it use to be

). I buggered up the first few threads, but got plenty of good threads. When I screwed in the bushing I didn't get a good NPT type of seal, but did feel some resistance. The underside of the bushing is hard against the manifold. It dosn't seem to leak.

What kind of pressure is there in the manifold?
