No Regen with Cruise Control??

I just had my truck checked by my dealer and the service writer asked if my particulate filter warnings came on when using cruise control. He said the truck won't regen if using cruise control.

Sounds like a load of BS to me - can anyone confirm this?

Also - does anyone know where to find a complete explanation of how this system is supposed to work beyond the DVDs and manuals? I'd like to know if there are 3rd party manuals or factory publications that go beyond what I've seen so far. I have the factory service CD but so far have not seen a lot of detail on operational theory, etc. There are a lot of assumptions I have heard on messages the overhead has, etc. My dealer did the AX update but not the overhead - was getting DPF plugged warnings continuously on vacation. When the other dealer did the overhead update the warnings disappeared. All the time I was high speed interstate driving with the cruise control on.
