Four Codes and now they are gone???

My truck got the AX update last month after getting a P2262 code. It still didn't seem right, & I went on an 800 mile vacation trip when everything started happening. My overhead was flashing warnings that regen is required now... 80% then 90% then it said it was full. I was miles from any dealer so I pulled over and shut down. No cell service, so restarted it and drove the rest of the way with intermittent warnings then messages saying it was doing a regen, then it all disappeared. Then it started telling me I was getting 50 mpg on a flat road, but no more regen stuff. I found a dealer and read the codes P2262, P242F, P1451, & P200C. They said my DPF and Nox unit was in need of replacement, but no parts were available nation wide. I did see some black soot in the tailpipe which I wiped out for follow up - it had been clean since I bought it so knew something was wrong.

They performed an update to the overhead they said should have been performed when the AX flash was done. The service manager at the dealer I drove the 800 miles home and did not see one warning of any kind and the tailpipe stayed clean. I could tell the truck was doing the regen based on mpg holding steady between 19-22 then dropping to 14-15 for 12-15 minutes out of every hour or so.

I took it to my home dealer just to check it out further and they could not find anything wrong.

Is it possible the overhead flash could have lead to a false CEL light preventing a normal regen from happening leading to this?

After having soot pass through the DPF, mine seems to have cleared itself - when I got home tonight I could smell that real hot smell that only comes from a regen and the tailpipe was clear of any black smoke.

Is it supposed to work this way? Is there anywhere an explanation of how this is supposed to work - I'm probably asking for classified info but being an engineer that's what I want.
