Installing a EGT probe in a 6.7 CTD Exhaust Manifold

I recently traded my Ram 2500 5.9 CTD for a 08 Ram 3500 6.7 CTD. I installed an EGT probe in the exhaust maifold of the 5.9 CTD however I dropped the turbo in order to verify what I would be drilling into, such as a casting rib or other obstacle. I installed the probe in the center of the exhaust manifold approx 2 inches above the exhaust manifold/turbo flange.

Now I'm ready to install the EGT probe on my 6.7 CTD however, the thought of dropping the turbo is not a very appealing prospect. I'm assuming that the 6.7 exhaust manifold has been recast but to what degree I have no clue. I plan to drill the hole with the engine idling to prevent cuttings from dropping into the turbo. The question is where to drill the hole?

For those of you who have installed a pre turbo EGT probe in your 6.7 CTD I would appreciate your feedback as to the location you chose to install the probe.
