What second gauge - trans temp or boost?
I have a new RAM 2500 with the Cummins 6.7 and auto transmission.
Just had new bumpers and winch installed and while that was getting
done had EGT installed. The gauge is in a pod above the rear view
mirror and has space for a second gauge. I was going to have
transmission temp there but because there was no place in the pan
for a temp probe that wasn't installed.
I did find a clamp that will let me put a temp probe on the fluid
line (slight lower temp reading ) or I can put a "T" in the line.
Before I charge ahead with the transmission temp I'd like to know
what might be the most useful second gauge. The truck will get
used for towing a light trailer on long camping trips.
I plan to keep it stock meaning no performance chips. Other popular
gauge seems to be boost, but if it stays stock would that be useful?
Seems that I might as well fill the remaining space with something
so I'd like to hear what would be useful.
