Egr???
Ok, after getting rid of the DPF I decided to go ahead and make the plung to get rid of the EGR. I decided to use the blockoff plates for the EGR and block off the tube on the passangers side. I got started then got called out on a job, before I could get the Butterfly valve removed from below the EGR. I was concerned that this might not work, but whent ahead and tried it. I drove the truck 500+ miles (with the EGR gone/ unplugged and the tube blocked, just still had the butterfly) over the weekend with no limp mode. Now I do have this really annoying ding that reminds me that I need to see the dealer for service. "imidiate service" My question is this.
1) Do i need to go ahead and remove the butterfly valve?
2) How long before it goes into limp?
3) I removed it on my buddies CC and we broke both screws in the plate, anyone else have this problem? I would like to be able to put this all back together for when I take it into the shop, any suggestions would be great.
