Thinking about an '09 2500 w/6.7

Hi y'all long time since my last post (too long to explain why). I am thinking about buying a new '09 2500 ctd Bighorn. I am concerned about all the negativity on the 6.7.

I have a couple questions in general and welcome all opinions

1. Is the 6.7 as good or better than my 5.9?
2. I want to be able to plow, can I plow with the manual tranny it seems the snow plow prep package isnt available with the manual do I need it?
3. For normal non-towing use do I need to be concerned about the rear?
