P-7100 Pump gear

Hey fellers,

I am pulling the pump to get at my blown tappet cover gasket and getting the gear off is PITA. I made the puller with 1/2" flat bar stock and drilles two holes and threaded in the 8mm bolts but the flat bar is bending I tried to hit it with a large drift pin thinking that would knock it loose but no luck. I guess I will stop in the morning and pick up some 5/8" flat bar and try that.

Any body else have this much trouble removing the gear ? any tricks or tips ?

Thanks guys,

BBD
