Installed the 3k springs today. Also did the gov lever adjustment.
Boy, did this ever bring my engine to life. Thought it ran great before, but was I mistaken. The spool up is so much faster, it will get to 30psi boost quick. Have more smoke now than I want, so will start working on that. Think I will center the AFC housing first.
Will probably have egt's to worry about also. Will check on that in a couple of weeks when we pull the wigwam to Ruidoso. It will easily lay a smoke screen now that might have someone calling in on me. I will try to only smoke it when a PSD tries something foolish.
Put the governor lever midway up the first step on my #11 plate. Is this too high?
Also had to raise the base idle. It was only 500 rpms when I finished with the mods. Set it at 800.
