In my quest for a good used dump truck,I have found nothing but old junk or overpriced newer models.So the gears in my mind begin to turn....I got a good 1 ton truck,why not take the factory bed off and put a 2/3 yard tipper in place of it.Then I start asking "experts" (read: salesmen) about the idea I have and the costs involved.So far I have found very few positive responses for doing such a job.The most common problem I hear is a weak frame.Then followed by 'How many Dodge wreckers do you see on the road?'Is there any truth to these claims?Is it feasable to put a dump box on a 1st gen truck?
