Drilling P7100 case

I have a P7100 off a Freightliner. Two holes for the throttle assembly mount are not there. The casting for them is, but it's not drilled/tapped. The third one has an oversized "indentation". It'll have to be filled/tapped with adapter or such.

Anybody think that, given careful drilling and flat-bottom taps, that I can do these holes without ruining the case?

OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE--since the case has a number of other faults-- how difficult would it be to move all the internals from this pump to my old one? ANYBODY done a CASE SWAP?

Thanks.
