What's the torque plate tradeoff?
As I've mentioned, I've got an 'irritable' #12 plate in my '97.... This whole disconnecting the wastegate gig is starting to get my mind racing... Exactly what does the wastegate do, why do we disconnect it to increase performance, and what's the down-side (wear and tear, mileage, egt, etc)?
