Fuel filter for veggie oil

I am going to be using the WVO System 3-C Complete Waste Vegetable Oil Processing Kit - System III from Survival Unlimited. In some of their notes they state not to use a paper fuel filter as the paper expands and clogs filter. Does anyone know if the stock filter on a 2004.5 is paper? I have been using the Fleetguard FS19579. I was hoping the S in the part number is synthetic.

Thanks Jeff
