Veg oil

I have been using the search and reading a lot of here. I'm not ready to try and make my own bio yet. From my understanding I can run 30% vegetable oil (it would be new from the store) with one gallon of gas. Add this mix to No 2 diesel and everything should work as normal. Am I correct on assuming this. Just looking to save a few bucks until I can try and make my own.
