747-400 flown on bio-diesel

new zealand flew a 747 on at least one engine with 50/50 bio-diesel mix. they said using bio for planes was not looked into much because of the low temps and jelling. they made the bio out of a plum sized fruit-seeds called jatropha. it has been used in bio fuels before. it has a lower jel point than diesel! and just for laughs we just had major snow storms in western wahington and we are not used to that. three young men are stuck in the snow, one talks to the reporter and said yes we are stuck,we put chains on but it didnt help. as he is looking at the front tires spin you could just see the light come on and he went bright red.........chains were on the rear!! robert
