Cummins Diesel Dragster goes 8.752 / 148 at Muncie
We finally did it. We left Denver with a fresh #6 piston, and a new tuneup, but basically the same as the 9.11 high altitude run.
We unloaded, and on the first pass in the morning, we ran 9.07 on a slightly short run (shut off early to be safe) and with a soft launch.
Second pass: Right at the end of the National anthem, we blasted the same tune up again, hard all the way, and only hit a 9.05. The air was way too good to waste. We decided to get agressive with the tune-up.
Third pass.
After a couple adjustments, we rolled back up and told Dustin to give it the best shot.
Here are the results:
.501 Reaction Time (wow!)
1.21 60 ft
5.51 at the 1/8 (123.84 MPH)
8.752 at the 1/4 (148.63 MPH)
Photos and more later....
