Turbine and multi engine tractor pullin rigs
I was watching the Bowling Green tractor pulls last night and got to wonderin how the power is transmitted to the rear diff from the turbine and multi engine tractors. Don't the turbine rigs have to run a gear reduction box to reduce the rpm from the turbines down to the final drive rpms?? and how are 4 turbines hooked into one final drive shaft? Also, what kind of power transmission apparatus is required for the multi engine rigs to have engines plugged in sideways and also straight in? And this is all in one rig!! That thing would have to be a driveshaft nightmare!!
Thanks for the help.
