Funny Truck Pulls

OK - yesterday I was scanning and ran across these Funny Truck Pulls....

2500 HP rigs - 2wd - help me understand the difference in the weights they pull and what you guys do. OK - I understand 2500 HP - but I really don't - in that they are using these huge back tires - I mean a Big Farm Tractor would pull the tar out of that sled......Hey I know very little about this - only what I see on the video's you guys submit......
