My first pull - need advice!

I know you guys get this all the time, but I did search and didn't find...

I am pulling with a STOCK (stock exhaust even) '01 6-speed with gauges and edge drag comp, which I obviously will not thave cranked up. It's got 2/3 worn 33" x 12.50 BFG Mud Terrains on it - my other tire choice is 1/2 worn GY MTRs 33" x 10.50. Any suggestions other than get a hitch and set it up as high as possible?

I guess I'm looking for what gear to pull in, and anything regarding RPM, clutch/throttle technique, etc.
