Pulling a 2wd dually?

Is it possible? Probably. is it feasible? I would like to find out. Here in the NW we pretty much only have three classes 6500- and 8500- and Unlimited(twins, etc) What I would like to know is if I were to keep my 2wd dually and bomb it could I , with the right tire choice be competitive against the 2wd guys if I had equal or better power? I talked to the guys at Scheid and they seem to think it really isnt worth it unless I just want to be different, I am inclined to believe them but would like to hear from you all on whether or not it is even worth the time.
