Brother can you spare a driveshaft? Part deux.

Second day airing chromoly tube for your new driveshaft loop. $

3 day Select your new Mark Williams driveshaft. $$

Driving 4 hours to find out your Lenco has internal damage from the exploding yoke episode 2 weeks ago. Not priceless.

I got to look at the old output shaft from the Lenco. Very twisted. The part of the shaft that slides up on the output shaft that was previously round was made oval.

Anyway, after traveling to Beech Bend on a 70 degree perfect day with a slight tailwind, Keating warms up the slicks and burns past the staging lights. Throws it in reverse and the dreaded clunk shows. No reverse. Goes down the track (slowly), get back in the pits, the Lenco is growling in neutral. Not cool. Jack up the truck, remove the drive shaft, try again....same thing. Pull the reverser off the end of the Lenco....several needle bearings and chunks of something looking like gear splines. Damn.

When Keating drove the truck in the trailer at the shop there was NO indication of any problem. In forward or reverse.

OK Greg....your number is safe another week...lol.
