Wastegate efficeincy?

considering upgrading the turbo on the wifes '03 ...

i have never seen a post concerning how well a turbo wastegate flows ...

i would like to get a small turbo now and upgrade to twins and injectors after the house is done ... using this turbo as the small turbo

with that thought in mind what turbo would do well until the finances allow ...

and does anyone have any info on how efficient wastegates are on little turbos ...

maybe one of the smaller II or HTT B1's?
