The on topic 6,000 RPM thread
OK, so far I've learned that the cam profile is important in the RPM of the motor. Makes sense, it has to breath.
Can you keep the stock bottom end together at those speeds? Or does it need a main girdle?
12 valve or 24 valve head?
Will such a motor be streetable, or will the neccesary cam and injectors make it undrivable at low RPM, in traffic?
I'm not talking about the top end, drag motor. Just something I can build in my garage, with off the shelf parts. Something to have fun with and maybe sled pull.
Thanks, Jeff
