Where to start?

First off thanks in advance,
I just bought a 99 2500 reg cab to Play with. I want to be able to pull the truck during the summer but also be able to drive it on the road. What is a good place to start? I know the first thing will be the fass system, intake, comp box, injectors, exhaust(thinking about stacks again have dual 5's on my other truck) clutch. What else? I mean I have read all the local rules. Like driveshaft loops etc. What are some other things I will need to do. I have pulling experience with gas trucks and tractors but have never done the diesel thing. I am afraid once I get into it I will get hooked again and probably dump alot of money in this thing ,but does this sound like a good start? I want something I can take to the local pulls and be able to whip the powerstrokes and d-max's. Tired of the mouth running. What kind of tires is everone running oh yeah tuck has 3.54 gears and does not have the 53 block.

Thanks
Jonathan
