launching with a G56?

i was wondering what others are doing. i've tried leaving in third but i bogs too much when i do that. so i've been leaving in second at about 2400 rpm and the let it eat, seems to do alright on the street haven't had it to the track yet. just seeing if anyone does this any different and with what results. by the way i beat a 72 chebbie last night that had an fuel injected 350 in it with a syntrifical super charger on it. got him by 2 trucks i could have done better but lately between 3rd and 4th i seem to loose fuel for a second then comes back full strength .
