Okay, new deal.....not a CPSC event, but a DIESEL series of events.

The Diesel Hot Rod Association is expanding and giving diesel truck owners all over the country a great opportunity. It is up to all of you to take advantage of it!!

How this works is, the Colorado Chapter of the DHRA has formed and will now have it's own series right here at Bandimere!

All it takes is for you to go to www.dhraonline.com and sign up as a racer ($40 gets you:
a DHRA ID card, a pair of DHRA decals, a DHRA Member decal, a DHRA rule book, a subscription to Diesel Power magazine (2006 will have 9 issues), discounts on tickets to DHRA National Events,
discounts on DHRA merchandise at DHRA National Events

(Each membership is valid for 12 months from the date of activation. ).

This membership will also register you as an official DHRA bracket racer and you will start earning points for official races you attend.

Okay, a bit more explanation.......

You attend one of the series of races (we will be posting the dates later today), you pay Bandimere your usual $30 to race and you put your DHRA member number right on your racer card that you tech in with. You will then come check in with the Colorado DHRA Director (that's me ) and pay $10 to the diesel purse for that race. You go through Bandimere's tech (just like always) and then start racing. Most series give you two time trials and then bracket eliminations start. Your points will be tallied by keeping your percentage of wins versus losses. At the end of each race, the winner (whoever goes the most rounds) will win the entire diesel purse for that race that particular day. So, you do have a chance to get your money back at each race.

At the end of the season (September) the top 5 bracket racers from each division will get a special invitation to the DHRA Nationals in Houston October 14-15. This is where you go up against trucks from all over the country and race for BIG prize money!!
