Best pulling upgrades

I was wondering what the best/most important upgrades are in building a puller? What are the best bang for the buck upgrades? What will show and give the best result and power gains? What have you guys had the best results with?
Also, are there any parts or items you have tried with little to no results. Dont have alot of extra cash to just throw around.
Any info is appriciated.
