Missed a gear, RPM's peg 3640rpm

So, I missed 5th gear on run while running that CTS-V (see other thread in this forum). The Edge box tells me I hit 3640rpm.

Stock motor internals! how bad is this to do every now and then?

no misses, not weird sounds on the motor of tail pipe. runs normal.. cooled this down longer then normal when I make a few WOT runs.

I scrambled to get the truck in 5th as soon as I realized what the heck isn't "right" maybe 2 seconds at that RPM.
