Has anyone tried advancing the camshaft timing?

Just like it says.....has anyone tried advancing the cam timing 5 or 10 degrees? what were the results? good or bad, i'd like to know if anyone has tried it on a daily driver.

I can't say i'd tear the motor down this far just to play with cam timing, but if your in the middle of a cam swap anyway, would you advance it or just install straight up?
