Question for those with driveshaft loops...

What size of material did you use for your loops and how did you mount them?

I believe some rules state 6" long and 5/16" thick, but how large of a diameter did you use?

For example on my rear 1480 joint, do I want as little room as possible between the shield and the U-joint or should I go with something as large as 8" diameter?
