I am wanting to assemble a 1,000+ HP 4,000rpm motor for my truck and want it to be decently reliable at the same time.
I would like to stick with my current II towing twins so I am wanting to make it breathe as efficiently as possible.
As of right now these are my thoughts...
Block- My current 02 block, 5.9 CR block (what years are best?), or a 6.7 CR block? I am liking the 6.7 idea but am not sure of using an unproven block, and crank
Fuel System- P7100, Monster VP, or HPCR? I would like to use a VP to be different and for simplicity(vs HPCR) But I would like to know how the Monster VP drives? I hear it lopes a little at idle?
Rods- I am hearing 1200hp is no problem with enough n2o. Stock balanced? Anyone making billet rods? Shot peened and balanced stock? other options?
Pistons- Stock coated? Mahle steel? Other options?
Girdle kit, 14mm main studs (by?), ARP rod bolts, 14mm head studs (by?), Coated stock main and rod bearings, Fluid dampener.
What else am I missing? I am still very undecided about what to do with the head.
Help me out guys, I have never put a whole lot of thought into building one of these. What would yall do? I am wanting to keep the cost under $15,000
But I will spend what it takes to make it right.
