2 thumbs up for may madness

well guys i had a ball this year at mm. 1st off i would like to thank joe d. and the pahrump dodge dealer. it was great to see dd open there shop up for 2 and half days for us. it was only supposed to be wed-thurs but i couldn't make it until friday morning and they made a exception for a few of us late comers.

dd had blown a turbo on monday but had made a run of 785?hp but sense it wasn't done in the view of all the tdr members it didn't count for the competition although it didn't matter. marks truck from dd did 740, christian from bd did 733, and i hit 731. it is cool that us three were within 10hp. i need to go back to the drawing board i guess.

friday night we had the sled pulls. we had two classes, less than 500hp and over 500hp. i kicked butt in the over 500hp class. we added up our 2 runs. i was over 100' above the 2nd place truck. the less than 500 trucks had the same setting as we did on the sled. chris was around 50' behind me in his class. i want to thank everyone who has helped me set my truck up for pulling, it worked great!!! i never hit any drugs but i will if i have to.

sunday we went drag racing and i made 7 runs and i was trying to get used to launching on my new tires in 2wd. it ran about what i figured it would. i ran right at 13 on #2 and keith and i got into the 11's in our grudge match.

kieth and i have been harrassing each other for quite awhile now, and this was a great chance to settle up. we could hardley see the tree becuase of the smoke, but on my video we leave at the exact same time. we were side by side at the 1/8 mile and he pulled my by half a truck length at the end of the 1/4. you couldn't ask for a more even race.

believe it or not there was hardley any tranny talk. it was cool to see i mixture of tranny's and power makers all so close in power and perfromance. i think it opens people's eyes up to different choices out there.
i wish ats could have found the time to sled pull or drag race, but i guess they were busy. i was a little scared of don's truck with all the talk going around. but i guess it was just talk sense he didn't come down and spank all of us at the track's. it seems silly to trailer your truck all that way and then not compete, oh well.

i had a great weekend, expect i broke a out-put shaft on thursday it's about time i've been trying for month's. now that mm is over i can start planning for muncie!!!!
here is a link for the run kieth and i made, and a burnout i got a little carried away with.
