Talking Spanked a Mitsubishi Galant tonight!

Was over at a buddies house who has constantly said "that damn truck can't run" and all this other BS well we had a bet that his truck (80-something phurd F-150 302) couldn't out run me for $20. I had called him out before but he basically chickened out.

Well tonight we were over there taking his motor out (another story ) and we all started talking motors and of course I just had to chime in and brag. Well that got people going and before I knew it my buddy was wanting to race me in his wife's Mitsubishi Galant.

Anyhow we finally agreed to go run 'em and off we went. We headed out to the local by pass and lined up at the red light with NO traffic anywhere up ahead of us and took off!

I NAILED HIM OUTTA THE WHOLE! Pulled away by the top end of 3rd and by 4th I could see him outta my rearview quite well!

We ended up getting on down the bypass and I quit using the pedal I had left at like 115mph or so because I was @ 3,000RPM and I don't have HD exhaust springs.

As we approached the red light he was WAY back there but gaining a little. as our buddies were sitting at the gas station waiting to see who would win the damn light turned yellow and I looked to the left and right and saw cars on both sides and said "UH UH" and hit the brake began slowing down. He said he touched his brakes but his rear end got squirrley so he hammered down and went through the light @ 120mph, I managed to slow down and turn up into the gas station where our buddies were.

As I did so though I heard a nice "THUNK" and a light came on on the dash "OIL LIGHT!" the guage said a big fat ZERO but when I coasted into the gas station I regained oil pressure and got out and checked under the hood......all was fine......

went back to buddies house and he was already there....we called it a draw because he admitted if I hadn't slowed down I would have had him

Even though it was supposed to be who got through the light first!

Still fun.....my 2nd or 3rd ricer kill!
