Those of you running serious mods and using them in the form of drag racing, sled pulling etc., are you running a pyrometer that stops at 1600*, or does someone make a pyro that reads higher?
I was thinking about this while driving the other day.

Take the case of a sledpull. By the time you are opened up and getting your groove on down the track, is your pyro buried? Or are those of you with twins, etc. able to keep you EGT's on the guage? ARE YOU EVEN WATCHING THE GUAGE? I can't believe that those of you with serious fuel (Mitchells, Shied's, etc) are able to even keep the EGT's on the guage. I haven't ever pulled, so don't really know how my truck would read.
If everyone is using 1600* pyros, are you curious as to what kind of temps you are really getting, or is the concern negligible for the amount of time the engine is operating at these temps (15 sec or less)?
Anyone care to enlighten me?
