Drag racing tires
I'm thinking about trying out the drag strip at Scheid's this year.
I hate to be cheap, but I'd rather not burn any (more) life off my tires.
What kind and size of tires should I look for. This might be a one time event for me, so I don't want to put any real money in this yet. Is looking for a used pair from a tire shop and a pair of steel wheels a good idea?

ps: I'm sure that DTT knew I was bull of beans when I told them what I would not be doing with a new trans.....
