Line lock for racing

Does anyone have experience with using a line-lock for staging an automatic race truck? I broke my left (braking, ha ha) leg

, and am trying to figure out how to get back on the track before the end of the season.
Specifically, can I use that brake to hold the truck while I build 20lbs of boost, then bump it forward just a couple of inches to fully stage?

If this isn't possible, does anyone know a doctor who can put me in a small "racing cast"??
