Has anyone with a 3rd Gen raced a Ford yet?

I did not buy my truck to drag race it (my GTO in the garage is for that) but I can't let the PSD Ford's get off easy at the stoplight. Last week I had the opportunity to race the '99+ Ford models.
The first was a 6.0 and he pulled up next to me and was checking me out. The light went green and I left him by a full truck length in 2nd gear. I started to run out 3rd and backed off because the race was over and I was nearing the 40MPH speed limit when he caught me and passed me. Must of had the dead pedal issue.

The other race was with a 7.3 and he actually stayed with me through a double left turn but when we got them straight I started to leave him pretty quick.

My truck is completely stock and I was just wondering of anyone else had the same results.
