1000 hp 2000 ft lbs
OK you guys, I don't spend alot of time reading the competition forum, mostly towing, hauling and RV and the 3rd gen trucks. A buddy and I bought matching '03 3500 ETH DEE trucks and are slowly starting down the modification path. Found a shop in town here and the guy claims to have a 5.9 Cummins in his Suburban pushing 1,000 hp and 2,000 ft lbs. He's a former BD employee. apparently and other than the fact its got twins, my buddy wasn't able to tell me much about the guy's mods. I told my friend that its possible, but unlikely. My question is: what does it take to make that kind of power? I would guess propane, methanol, twins, custom injectors, fuel system, custom cam, etc. etc. I am going to try to see this thing for myself and would just like to know if its real or wishful thinking. I don't like to buy stuff from people that are full of ****.
Thanks
Dave
