Beginners guide to sled pulling

I have 0 experience pulling. Do you guys use 4Hi or 4Lo. If its a manual, do you start in 2nd? About how fast do you hit? Anything else you can share? Although there are alot of pulls that go on around where I live, I have yet to go to one. When I go, I wanna know whats going on and maybe with a few more bombs, enter an amateur class. Thanx...
